May thanks to Simon & Graham for setting up last night’s workshop (1st November 2022).
This workshop took us back in time to the great old art of film photography or for some of the more mature members it just bought back memories, one even quoted ‘that was my first camera’ a 1940’s pop out film camera. The evening took us through the process of loading the film/paper into our selected cameras one sheet/exposure at a time using a portable film-changing bag (so working blind) then repeating the process to removing the film/paper after exposure to start the developing process. Because we were only using Film Paper placed within our selected cameras, we had fun experimenting with things such as working out the subject distance & the exposure times in order to achieve a reasonable result on the paper. All the members that attended the evening got stuck write in, some even managed to produce reasonable quality prints by the end of the evening.
